The government of The people’s republic of Bangladesh has given top priority in the power sector and promised to reach electricity in every consumer’s premises in our country within 2021. To achieve this target Bangladesh government has taken many initiatives. For this reason power sector has been reformed and To increase responsibilities and efficiency, system loss has been reduced in  electricity generation, transmission and distribution system. North west power distribution company limited is formed as an electricity distribution company in August, 2005. as per company act 1994 as a public limited company. Now this company is ensured electricity in rajshahi and rangpur division’s 16 districts and 47 sub districts.
